Road Reconstruction

Reconstruction of William Street (from Tasman Street to Charles Street). Works included full depth road pavement reconstruction with new kerb and channel and footpaths on both sides. The stormwater crossings and pits were upgraded, traffic islands were installed and the road was resurfaced with Hotmix Asphalt.

Retaining Wall Construction

Install a 30 meter long steel post and treated pine sleeper cantilever retaining wall, on a difficult to access and steep site at Joshua Place, Burnie. The steel posts were embedded and concreted 3 meters deep into the ground, to provide overturning resistance and the wall was backfilled using drainage metal. Once completed the retaining wall was over 2 meters high.

Subdivision Development

Development of a 43 Lot Subdivision on Ronan Court/ Tedmon Street, Spreyton. Works consisted of constructing a new asphalt road, concrete kerb and footpath. Construction of underground assets associated with subdivision development including; sewer, water and stormwater, power, communications and gas infrastructure.

Road upgrade and widening

Reconstruction, widening and rehabilitation of Nine Mile road, the project was 3.2km long and involved tree and vegetation removal, fence relocation, culvert improvements, pavement widening and rehabilitation, irrigation line relocation, two coat and single coat sealing.

Synthetic surface replacement - Soccer Club

Works included the removal of the existing grass ovals, installation of subsoil drains and stormwater plumbing for ground drainage. Kerb works were completed around the oval and synthetic grass was placed over the top of a gravel base.

Bitumen sealing

The Sealing Team completed a Two Coat Hot Bitumen Seal along Thomas Street, East Devonport.
